I really don’t know

She brought it up and I couldn’t answer her properly.

My standard, “I don’t know” wasn’t enough.

I wasn’t being vague nor was I trying to sound secretive,

I genuinely had and have no concrete answer to

that particular question.

I have what I suspect to be true

but my mind wont let me access much more than that.

I wanted to talk about how clean her window was

and how it almost looked like there was no glass there at all.

I wanted to get up and touch the glass, just to check.

I wish I could have lied.
